This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains what information Gmail Cleanup (“we,” “us,” and “our”) can access and how that information is handled when you use the extension.

By using Gmail Cleanup, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Local processing

Your email data is processed within your Gmail tab. We do not receive, store, sell, or share it, or use it for advertising or AI training. The extension contains no analytics or tracking tools. It works through Gmail’s existing interface, so Google continues to process your searches and mailbox actions as part of its own service.

Information we access

The extension accesses sender names and email addresses, your selected conversations, and information displayed by Gmail, such as search results and counts. It uses this information only to find and move matching conversations to Trash after your confirmation.

Data storage

The extension keeps working data temporarily in the tab’s memory; reloading or closing the tab clears it. It saves only a local setting that remembers whether you have seen the first-run onboarding pop-up. This setting is removed when you uninstall the extension. Gmail and your browser may retain search history under their own settings.

Your choices

You can disable or uninstall Gmail Cleanup at any time. This stops the extension’s access but does not undo changes already made to your mailbox.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. A change to the “Last updated” date above means this policy has been revised.
